We’ve got something for everyone! Try out new moves in fun workshops open to all ages and experience levels, plus a final chance to learn the Flash Mob dance (see website for schedule and details). Serious dancers can learn all about funding, services and opportunities in the Arts Networking Hour. In the evening, enjoy a performance by local artists plus special guests Tentacle Tribe from Montreal.
Canada Day Celebration (FREE)

3pm & 4:30pm Flash Mob and Multi-Cultural Performances
Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday through dance with a showcase our city’s multi-cultural heritage. Catch two half hour performances featuring local artists, plus appearances by London’s Ill at Will breakdance crew and Breath in Mvmt. dance company. You’ll also have two chances to dance alongside your fellow Londoners in our annual Flash Mob.
Emerging Artists

An exciting evening of dance works by emerging artists from London and beyond. This performance is our way of nurturing young choreographers and attracting fresh talent to our city. You’ll also see a world premiere by special guest Sharon B. Moore of Toronto. Join us at the pre-show reception for refreshments (cash bar), raffle prizes, and a chance to meet the artists. Performance tickets are $15 before the event or $20 at the door, buy online at www.OnStageDirect.com/ldndancefest.
In the morning, Sharon will facilitate a workshop for emerging choreographers. Workshop fee is $15 (location TBA), email londondancefestival@gmail.com to register.
The Flash Mob is a fun and easy dance created by local artists and performed by the community. No dance experience is required and all ages and abilities are welcome. You can learn the moves from the instructional video, or at one of our workshops. Then come down to Harris Park on July 1st and join one or both performances! Contact us to book a FREE workshop at your school, business or organization, or click here to find one near you.
We’re seeking volunteers of all ages with a passion for dance. Whether you are looking to help out for a couple of hours or the whole weekend, we have a spot for you! Festival events are a great opportunity to experience live dance performances and support local talent.
