Fall Festival Call to Artists LDF 2024

Hey dancers! The London Dance Festival is excited to announce that we’re looking for local talent for our 2024 Festival, happening on September 14-15.

We’re open to dance artists of all ages, career stages, and styles. Tell us all about your proposed dance performance or workshop when you apply on our website!

July 15 event cancelled due to rain

JULY 15 UPDATE:
We are very sad to inform you that due to rain and thunderstorms, today’s event is cancelled and we won’t be rescheduling again. 

We’d like to thank everyone for their patience and support. We would LOVE if you could make a donation to help keep us going until next year, as we weren’t able to collect donations in the park as usual. 

Another great way to support our work is to order your LDF T-shirt – you have until tomorrow to get your order in!

July 2: Community Celebration- Workshops and Performance

DISCLAIMER- Due to heavy rain and thunderstorms, today’s event is postponed. We’d like to thank everyone for their patience and support, please stay tuned for updates as we look to reschedule today’s performances.

Performances by London dance artists including The Ukwehuwe Connection, Rising Moon Bellydance, La Compagnie de Danse, Flamenco del Sur, Young Company of North London Dance Centre, and more!

Learn a new style in one of our workshops, or learn the Dance Mob moves and join us onstage. This year’s song is “Forest City” by the Latin Roots Band.

LDF 2023: Call to ALL Dance Artists

We are encouraging all local dance artists to send their submissions for this year’s festival, taking place between June 30-July 2. Dance artists of all ages, career stages, and styles are welcome to apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a smaller budget again this year and are unable to offer full CADA rates for pieces with more than two professional artists. We are also unable to provide travel or accommodation for artists outside of London this year. If this is a barrier for you, please check back next year!

Celebrate the art of dance with the London Dance Festival. We’ve got something for everyone! See London’s talented dance artists perform on two stages in the great outdoors, plus workshops for all levels, opportunities for the public to engage with interactive exhibits and perform on our stage, and a family-friendly dance party! 

Performances by London dance artists including Ukwehuwe Connection, Rising Moon Bellydance, La Compagnie de Danse, Flamenco del Sur, Isabella Di Liello, Nicolas Noguera and local studios, accompanied by live music by Asante and Light of the East Ensemble.

LDF 2022 – Volunteers Needed!

If you are looking to volunteer for a couple of hours, but also have fun while helping those in the community, then we have a spot for you!

The London Dance Festival is a great opportunity to experience outdoor performances and support local talent. Help us deliver enjoyment for all. Sign up now! (Deadline: Saturday, June 25)

We welcome volunteers of all ages. All volunteer hours can be put towards the Ontario Secondary School community service requirement, a volunteer reference letter, or both upon request. Learn more here.

February Community Check-In & Restorative Class

Join us for a casual chat about the state of dance in London. We’ll start with a movement session to get grounded and in sync (approx 45 mins). Then you’re invited to share your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and feedback, and connect with other local dance artists. FREE and open to everyone.

We’re taking the Check-In & Class on tour this year, stopping at dance studios all around town. Get in touch if you’d like us to come to your organization!

PLUS Make Your Mark to End Racism
In partnership with 519 School of Hip Hop, we invite members of the London dance community to brainstorm a collaborative art project to present at the awards ceremony of LUSO’s  “Make Your Mark to End Racism” annual video contest. The ceremony will take place on March 21 to commemorate The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, and will be hosted by Leroy Hibbert of LUSO Community Services. The filming will take place in early March but all are welcome to contribute their ideas and be part of the conversation during the Community Check-In.
